What is Stamp it Out?
Stamp it Out is highways industry backed taskforce driving to eliminate abuse and incursions into closures on both the local and strategic network. The Safer Highways initiative is made up of a taskforce that is led by Kari Sprostanova, Health and Safety Director, Balfour Beatty UKCS and includes other Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and other key members of the highways supply chain.

I am a highly committed health and safety professional looking after both Highways Sector Major Projects and Energy Sector Projects for Skanska across the UK. Having spent 10 year working as a Scenes of Crimes Officer alongside various police forces I made the decision to leave this field and move to Beaumont Traffic Management. Having joined the team in 2016 my role was formalised in 2017 with an appointment as HR and Internal Operations Manager.

This study centred around the key issue of driver incursion and was aimed at reducing harm to all parties and raising awareness through effective communication of risk. This work has allowed me to take part in the Stamp it Out initiative.
